I have setup a 2000 box with SP3 installed to take care of our large print spooler (LPR) requirements and have found it to be extremeley slow. It will print 1 or 2 pages and then display the message "Printer busy or error". Restarting the spooler services will send it through but then the same thing happens.
On a NT4 Server i can print to the same destination time and time again without a problem. Both have identical drivers and configurations.
In fact when the 2000 box displays the error i can just go ahead and send print jobs thru the NT4 box without problems.
The network checks out without problems and i have heard there are issues with 2000 LPR printing.
Can anyone help?
