2000 IPS unable to Conference 3 way

Unable to Conference 3 way on a trunk call.

trunk to trunk transfer (cm 360)works and internal 3 way conference works.

COmmands 12, 13 and 15 have been thoroughly checked.

Any one have any ideas?

Answer supervision was the culprit on this

So it was loop start trunks.

NO, the weird thing is they are ISDN PRI and they were set to a 2. NEC recommended setting them to 7.

That would mean that your Q931a incoming connect message from the telco is either out of spec or not arriving at all. This is very rare. The NEC recomended setting is a 2 because the asnwer supervision DOES arrive with ISDN. Thats what the connect message is for. The setting to a 7 is a work around only enabling you to get around the real problem. Be aware that if this is a carrier issue and it is corrected (magically as it ususally is) you will start having issues again because of the setting to a 7. Answer supervision is most easily recognised by the start of the Call Valid timer in the display of the Dterm after an out going call is made.
