We have a NT4.0 network we slowly want to converge to 2000. Is it possible for a 2000 server to be a BDC? Thanks.

I don't want to migrate users, yet. I just want BDC2000 to authenicate with a NT4.0 PDC. I don't think it could be done because 2000 server could only be a member or DC. Correct me if im wrong, thanks

You can only have one PDC Emulator per 2000 Domain. With this emulator in place NT4 Stations can authenticate with your 2000 domain. As far as I know you cannot use a 2000 Server to be BDC.

Indeed, do not ever install a Win2K as a domain controller in a NT4 environment as long as the PDC is not running Win2K yet
(single-master replication in NT4 doesn't work well with multiple-master replication in Win2K...) Peter Van Eeckhoutte
