2000 and 2003 Trusts

Having a nightmare getting this to work properly, I have gone through the process as per Microsoft documents to setup domain trusts. After I have setup the two way trust, I can view the user accounts on the Windows 2003 domain from the Windows 2000 domain but not the other way around. If I verify the trusts at either end it reports that the RPC server is unavailable, but I have configured both WINS servers to replicate to each other and can ping the servers by name.

Any ideas????
