We have a hotel that recently changed from Analog trunks to a PRI. Since then they have had a couple issues that I can't seem to resolve.
1 - the inbound caller ID on the switchboard shows the callers number AND the hotel main number. This by itself isn't an issue, but if the call is transferred to the GM or sales manager and it rolls to their mailbox, the message pins the main number to the message.... "you have a new message from XXXYYYNNNN" - where the number played is the hotel's main number.
I've attempted to adjust the COS options for the PRI and can't seem to weed it out.
2 - their reservation number - they have an extension number that is forwarded to reservations. When called directly from another phone, it goes through. However, when calling the main number and transferred, it fails... says "Can't" on the display.
I changed the extension number to be a DID number - when called, it gives a busy signal.
It's been a few years since I've had to do such on a 200EL, but figured I'd throw it out here and see if anyone has suggestions.... I'd love it if they'd replace the system... but like any hotel, if it isn't dead, don't bother it.
Thanks in advance.
