We upgraded a 200 light with a 200EL. The customer just realized that 911 calls were not identifying the extension that the 911 call was made from.
Also, when an internal extension calls another extension the display on the 420 sets show "EXTN". I think they both are related.
Any ideas?
Thanks

what do you have in the name field and do you have options 507 and 508 programmed in the cos of calling and called sets? As far as what is displayed on a 911 call, it is what is programmed in the "comments" field in for 9 preceeded by the @ sign

When you are talking about 911 I am assuming you are talking about internal notification and if so don't worry about the comments field reference above.

COS 507 and 508 is a good suggestion

for internal notification if you fill the comments field in like I mentioned when the alarm point checks the alarm and presses "Loc" they will see whatever additonal info you would like them to see. If the user changes the name field or has deleted the name then at least the "Loc" is valuable info

Hmmm - Ok, I had thought those were for external notification but it has been awile.

The Display Ext option is still the better bet.

you are correct they are for external and what will go to the PSAP but also for the alarm point
