Hello - I am new here and will be trying to search for a resolution, but wording may be awkward to find a match.
I have 2 x users (exec PA's) who want their phones to divert/forward to each others extension if busy or unavailable.
Having set the forward to each DN in Call Manager, the call now bounces in an endless loop between the two extensions without ever going to Voicemail.
So what I need to accomplish is if a user dials Ext 1 it will ring "X" times, then forward/divert to Ext 2 --- after "X" rings there it must go back to Ext 1's Voicemail.
The entire process must work the same for Ext 2 forwarding/diverting to Ext 1 if not answered or busy and after "X" rings there it then goes back to Ext 2 Voicemail.
Forgive me if this is an obvious config that I have missed - can this be done via Hunt Groups or similar as I used to be able to do in Avaya?
I will happily research and/or figure out the parameters if somebody here could be so kind as to point me in the right direction.
Best
Gary
