AkamaiAloha
MIS
I am used to seeking flakey little issues with Aloha upgrades--usually, it's silly stuff, like check boxes that come "undone" and need to be re-checked.
Customer has been upgraded from 4.2 to 5.3.15. Two minor, but strange things have been happening.
1) Customer claims that when they used NO, SIDE, and EXTRA buttons, they aren't showing up on the guest check screen. They are showing up on the kitchen tickets, but the problem is the servers don't know if they hit them, because it's not showing up on the screen.
(I think I'd seen one system where all you could see was exclamation points before the item, but I don't remember what was done to resolve it).
2) This is a credit card issue, and there are really two things that keep happening. Sometimes, when they swipe a card, they get a message saying something to the effect of "Card must be atleast 13 digits". If they swipe it again, I believe it works. The other one they claim happens is that they swipe a credit card, and they end up with an card that doesn't authorize, that has an expiration date, but no number showing? Very odd, and I should point out I have not verified this myself... just taking the customers word for it at this point (but they are a fairly sophisticated user).
I just figured I would get a heads up from some of you guys, to see if anyone has heard of this stuff.
Thanks is advance.
