2 Way Email Encryption

Hello All,
I had someone come to my office today to present a product that he is selling. He claims that his software is cabable of encrypting email messages both ways. By this I mean if I send and email to someone and they reply to it, it will be encrypted when the reply. I personally can not see how this can done with out installing software or tweaking some settings in thier emial client.
Has anyone seen this or know if this is possible?

I believe this can be done with PGP. Assuming of course you have the other guy's public key.
