Need to install a different VPN appliance at a Customer's site. They currently have a SonicWall SSL VPN 200 behind a firewall/Gateway, however this device Can not provide a VPN connection for the VPN remote phones being installed. Would like to know if anyone has any advice as to how to go about installing a secondary VPN solution for the phones themselves, let alone behind a firewall/gateway. Usually get the VPN remote phones to work with an all-in-one VPN router. The secondary router I have in mind is a Netgear FVS338...

Do you have multiple public IPs on the interbet connection?
I used a spare one here and forwarded all traffic to that IP address to the FVS338

At first I wasn't catching on, not being all that informative yet when it comes to data-networking, but now I think I see what you mean...Let me know if I'm on the right track.
Configure the current gateway to apply a spare public IP address to the FVS338 WAN port;
Configure the FVS338 WAN with the public IP address;
Configure the FVS338 LAN IP with a private IP address on the existing network subnet;
Plug the FVS338 LAN port to the existing network;
Create a route in the IPO to route to the FVS338 LAN IP as a VPN gateway

I think that what I did, but I do have both the LAN and WAN ports on the FVS338 attached to the local LAN.

I struggled for ages with this, and that config worked, but does not seem right.

I aim to fiddle a bit more when time allows...
