I heard a vendor tell a customer no, then sold them an Audix.... It seems like it would work, but there could be issues with the voice mail waiting lights. It silly to say goahead and try it (your money not mine), but if the idea was just to get more mialboxes, it's better to go with a merlin messaging, (200 mailboxes), and have a solution that you know works. If you already have the card, then it wouldn't hurt to try. I'ver heard that you can only have one integrated voice mail system per Legend / Magix.
Thanks. I have R7 14.2 Legend. The reason I am aslking is that I am adding a telemarketing group to my business, could be as many as 60 users. My Merlin Mail has only 4 ports and I am concearned that it might get overloaded.
If I add another MM 3.x will I have an issue with my 012 with ring card? or should I really look at either upgrading to a 6 port version or maybe a 007 mlm
Well, you see it is that the 012 can ring 4 and oly 4 ports at a time.
Which 4? - Dunno, it's a crap shoot at best!
With a lot of persuasion and whining, Bell Labs finally decided to allow all 16 ports on the 016 TTR to ring at once.
I actually proved that VM ports (on an 012) get logged off 'cause the LEGEND KNEW IT SENT A CALL, but the 012 DIDN'T RING, thus the VM didn't answer. SO - LEGENED LOGGED HIM OUT!
It will work fine if you're running a CKE4 or CKE5 processor to access the memory space for the last 4 ports... I have one in my Legend v7 r9. If you don't need the last 4 ports, it will see it as an 012...
Agreed merlinman, that is my experience too, but if he only needs the first 12 ports, he could still use the 016 right? That's how the 016 behaved in my cke3 before I upgraded...
