How can I configure Exchange 5.5 users mailbox to allow two accounts to login?

e.g. I have two users "Stores" and "GoodsIN" and email account called "Stores" is linked with username "Stores" how can I also add user name "GoodsIN" to the same email account?

Kind regards and thanks in advance

Mike

I don't know if you can have two user accounts with the same email address. You can accomplish the same result by setting up a distribution list. Essentially, set up each user with a unique email address (different than the two you want to share) and then set up the email addresses you listed above as distribution lists. Then just add whichever users you want to receive emails from those addresses and everyone on the list will receive the emails at their unique individual accounts.

Multiple NT accounts can access the same mailbox (even at the same time, although this isn't recommended!), you just need to add the extra NT accounts to the Permissions tab with User rights (If you can't see a Permissions tab for your mailboxes you need to turn this option on in Admin, Tools, Options).

Of course a single mailbox can only have a single primary (outgoing) SMTP address, although you can have multiple secondary SMTP proxy addresses, these will match incoming messages to any of the addresses on the mailbox and deliver the mail to the mailbox.
