Hi All,

We have an Exchange 2000 Enterprise SP3 server runnning with Groupshield 5.2 installed. All was well until a couple of days ago when we restarted the server. After the restart it would appear 2 little problems have arisen, and they are both driving me mad having spent nearly 3 days trying to sort them.

1) AVEXCH32.EXE consumes 50% of the CPU of the box all the time, no exceptions it's always using it, does anyone else have this, is it normal? If not any ideas of how I can resolve it.

2) When we recieve an infected email it does not get entered into the Quarantine log, so we have no idea about sender, no matter what we do it will not show up, again, anyone got any ideas how I can sort this?

I have tried killing the software and reinstalling it, reconfiguring it, but to no avail, any ideas/pointers would be much appreciated.

Jez.

The CPU load doesn't seem normal. On my dual Xeon processor Win 2000 server w/ Exchange 5.5, AVExch32.exe is usually 00.

A "shot in the dark": Are you perhaps running NetShield (or VirusScan Enterprise) as well as GroupShield on that server? If so, have you excluded Exchange and the GroupShield quarantine file from NetShield's scanning?
