2 Rules or 1?

I know this might seem like a dumb questions, but i need to know the correct way to do it.
I have a server on our internal LAN that FTPs to a ftp server on the DMZ.
And every half hour, the FTP server needs to ftp back to the internal server.

So i have setup the rules below.




SOURCE DESTINATION SERVICE
-----------------------------------------------------
Rule 1 Internal_server ftp_server ftp
-----------------------------------------------------
Rule 2 Ftp_server Internal_server ftp
----------------------------



Is it possible to only have one rule? like the rule below?


SOURCE DESTINATION SERVICE
----------------------------------------
Rule 1 Internal_server ftp_server ftp
Ftp_server Internal_server
---------------------------------------

i think it should work
but i would keep 2 rules for clarity
