2 reports - Same Field - Different Field Types?

CRXI and SQL
I have two reports with same table in both.
One field start_date is datetime in one report and just date in the second report. I tried changing it to datetime for the second report but it does not give me the option to do this.

How is this possible? I need datetime for both reports.

Right click the field > Format Field and choose the format that you need.

I should have explained better. I know how to do that. It does not give me any options to change it. It lists as a date format only.

Look in File > Report Options and see the last field: Convert Date-Time field. Should be "To Date-Time".

Are you accessing both reports on the same computer from the same CR application? Is the date field an actual database field or a SQL expression or formula?

Yes, both reports are being accessed on the same computer and the same CRXI application. The field is a datetime field from the database. I created the second report and inserted the field from the list of fields using the same table that is used in the first report.

XI doesn't provide the option of converting date to datetime or vice versa (unless you have opened and saved a report in XI that was created in an earlier version of CR, which is possible). Otherewise, I think you need to take another look at the formatting tabs.
