Hi it’s me again with 2 more quazi-newbie questions
I’m in the process of activating about 50 of our unused DID lines and have run into an interesting quirk. From the outside, someone can dial the DID and get the person directly (as they should). But when the person calls an outside line, the Caller ID boxes aren’t showing it as coming from the personal DID number, but the companies main phone number. Is this something the phone company needs to update on their end to reflect the new numbers? Or am I missing a step on my side?
And my second question is a simple one I think. I use the MAT software to do the basic phone settings and updates. I was going to install the software on a 2nd system for backup reasons when I noticed that we are missing one of the disks. I called up our provider (SBC) and they said that they don’t sell the MAT software any more and each copy of MAT is custom made for each companies system and I would have to upgrade to something called Optivity if I was looking for a GUI. Does anyone know if this is true? And would I be able to get a copy of the disk from Nortel directly?
Thanks much guys
