Has anyone tried to setup 2 PCs to the internet using a Linksys DSL Router with 4 ports (BEFSR41) through NTL's settop box on a Windows XP Home Edition OS.

I Router is configured as it has its own IP address and NTL can see the router and one of the PCs I have connected to the Router but the PC connected to the DSL Router cannot get Internet access. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Thanks

This is what your configuration should look like

(NTL)
|||
SetTopBox
|
| <--cat5 cable
|
ROUTER WAN
ROUTER LAN1--cat5 cable--PC1
ROUTER LAN2--cat5 cable--PC2

Router should be set as DHCP server, allocating IP's from 192.168.0.2 throught to 192.168.0.20 (private IP addresses reserved for home networks), your subnet mask should be 255.255.255.0

Both PCs should be set to "Obtain IP automatically" (found under TCP/IP network properties for the NIC)

You may need to set the router up to "clone" a MAC address (your user guide will tell you how.)
The MAC address to use will be the one belonging to the PC which was first connected to the NTL BB service. To find it's MAC address, open a command prompt and type "arp -a"
