Hi,

I have to create a report which is having 45 fields so in order to do it i have to create 2 parts on the same report(but not the subreport).
Should crystal allows to do it if so,could you please explain me,how?

and also,i could not able to fit as many as (atleast 25) on one single page,do you have any options available, ?
please throw me some ideas

Thanks in an advance
Regards,

1. Change the page size to A3 size - you do this by setting/changing your printer driver File-> Printer Setup

2. Change Page Orientation to Landscape - File-> Printer Setup

2. Split the detail section of your report into many sections - by putting your pointer over the left hand margin (gray area) of the details - right click - and choose Insert Section below - each details section (A, B, and so on) will appear once for every record returned.

Cheers

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your help!

Hi,

I have tried as you said but the Cross tab insertion into that section leads me to insert in the Group Footer section instead of it exactly in the section.

Could you please provide me hints.

Thanks

Hi,

Sure - you can't put a crosstab in the details section - it must always go in the group/report/headers-footers.

To make it "appear" to be in the same section - you can try putting the crosstab in the group header - then go to the Section Expert (under Report menu) - highlight the section with the crosstab - and tick the Underlay option tick box which will make it appear with the detail data - then you may need to do some rearraging so the data doesn't writeover the crosstab.

I hope this helps,

Cheers

Hi Paul,

Thanks for reply but my requirement is little different now as mentioned earlier.

It is totally 2 different pages in the same report but so that it will run as whole and provides the results in one after the other.

This has facilitated in COGNOS ReportNet. But i could not able to figure out from Crystal Reports IX.

I hope you all got my point

Regards,

Hi,
I am sorry-
In otherwords,in one report- the part of the 2nd report should display next after the part of the 1st report .

The 2nd report in my requirement is a crosstab report but the first is simple list report.

But the whole scenario behind that is, since 45 fields have not accomodated in one report so we decided to divide it into 2 parts.
Also appreciatable if you provide me how 45 fields can fit into one report.

Thanks a lot,
Regards,
