2 networks 2 routers sharing DSL

I have two separate networks (same office) that would like to share one DSL line for the Internet. I've heard you can use two routers to achieve internet access and keep the two networks from accessing each other (security). No Server OS here. I'm not sure how to set up this configuration....also is it better to have 2 static IPs for this method?

If you can get two static IP's, that's the best option, but surely you will be getting a PPPoE connection from your ISP and in that case, the best is a third router, one that can dial the ISP and then share the connection to the two networks.

If you don't need tight security, you can put both networks attached to the router and just set up the networks with subnetting (one net with 192.168.1.x and the other with 192.168.0.x for example).

If you need better security, you need three routers with firewalls: One for each network connected to the public one.

Do you mean....connecting the dsl modem to one router and then splitting from there to the other two routers (then to each separate network)? Can the connection from the dsl modem be to a switch and then splitting to the other two routers?.....thanks!
