Does anybody know of a good website that has information about running xp with 2 monitors. Information such as hooking them up, pci vs. AGV video cards, any difference?
and so forth.
Thanks for any information.

Some more info in case you are mixing pci with agp.
One concern that I had to learn about, was that when using a pci card with an agp card or onboard, the pci card must be the primary card. I learned this when I installed a pci card for a 3rd monitor and it didn't work and had to research beyond that webpage. I think I found it in the Help section within XP, or in Dell's Window's help section.
anyway, I went into the bios looking for this setting, and although there was no setting that had primary or secondary for a value under the pci page, I did change one value to 'auto' (only 2 choices and I forgot what it was set on before I changed it)
I use a dual output AGP card for monitor 1 and 2.

ps. I also have a question on this topic. I'd like to get a larger MB pci card to use for my 3rd monitor. The old spares that I have laying around are probably only 1 or 2 MB and overall computer performance seemed to be lagging compared to when it wasn't installed.
When I shop around for one used on Ebay, pricegrabber, etc. etc, in the $20-40 range, (8-32-64 MB range), non of the less expensives ones are listed on the XP hcl website.
My question: What exactly does it mean when something isn't listed on the hcl ? Does it mean that it absolutely will not work if it is installed and you shouldn't use it ? Or it may work and cause random problems ?
Compatibility is not necessarily a complete list of programs and devices compatible with Windows XP. It is a collection of products for which test data has been submitted to Microsoft.
