2 modems in household

Is it possible to have 2 modems in my house, i have rogers internet cable and i want to set up a new workstation with x-box live and a computer in a different room and i dont know if its possible, and if so explain, plz.
ps do i have to pay more per month

You don't need two modems. Connect your existing modem to a switch, then connect your pc's to the switch.
