Hi all,

Is there any way to setup a phone with 2 lines? I did the key assignment and i can get the phone to ring on the phone, what i need is to be able to pick the any line dial out and show the number from the line i pick up.

E.g. real phone numbers 1001 add key assignment button 2 line 1002. If i press line 1002 I get a dial tone and I’m able to dial out but the number that it shows is 1001.
I program the 2nd line as a Multi and a key assignment.
Thanks,

Hi,
I have a 3300 10.0.3.14_1.

thanks,

Im assuming you are using analog lines. If so, you need to locate the directory number of the analog lines and then create a key system button on the telephone for each lines ext.

The way I read your latest is:

You want the ability to send outbound caller ID depending on the key that is used on the phone. Currently, when you select a key other than the prime key the caller ID that is sent is that of the prime key.

Q1 - Internal or external caller ID (or both)
Q2 - Assuming digital trunks, what specific protocol - be very specific.

Hi,
It’s a digital phone 4025, I need Internal and external calls. The situation is I have only one phone in that office at the moment and the user will move within a week so no point to run a new cable. The idea is to have on phone with both lines and to able to make and receive calls in both numbers.
So if i have the phone xxx.xxx.1001 and I add a multi/set key assignment on the phone, button 2 as xxx.xxx.1002 I want to be able to call out from xxx.xxx.1002.
If i call 1002 the phones rings internally and from outside it rings on 1001 button 2. What I ask is if it's possible to make calls from that line using 1002 and reflect on the caller id of the user that you're calling from the number xxx.xxx.1002.
For the trunks I’m not sure what are you asking (I’m still learning this box)
What I see on the Trunk assignment say Trunk is a Universal T1 PRI

Thanks,

Sending Outbound Caller ID based upon keyline use is a hot topic. I've heard of some people having success in this but to date I have not.

Here is a copy of the thread where I asked a similar question to yours.

Thanks for the help; I try the steps mention on the post with no luck, I tough I was able to that before with the SX2000 I guess I was wrong. Any way they found an office for the new user so I was able to hook his phone. It will be nice if in the feature this can be done :)

Yes I've had issues implementing this but obviously others have not. I rarely need it so troubleshooting is currently a waste of time.
