Any know of a good small system.

Voice mail is going to handled by the telco so it is not needed.

since your in the partner forum a ACS re 6 with 3 6 button phones would work

a alternative would be the NEC DSX40

if you don't need system features ,a intercom and privacy come to mind ,don't ever expect to go beyond two lines then 3 two line phones would do it

We all love partners, but, you can go to OfficeMax or Office Depot or something like that and find regular, analogue, multi-line phones. They have hold buttons, line appearance, and intercoms. No control unit is necessary. The phones plug in just like regular phones.

I would say, for very basic requirements, 2-line analog telephones might suffice. The NoKSU units that Bill was referring to are a step up as they add various features (like the ones he mentioned and more). NoKSUs do have their limitations though and troubleshooting problems can sometimes be tricky.

Probably the most widely available NoKSU systems on the market are the at&t brand manufactured by VTech.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

Partner or RCA which is a 4 line system that gives you a little room to grow... i think it even coems with voicemail if you wish to use it in the future.

Very nice decision paul3461000. And if you have problems be sure to go their forum for assistance.

The AT&T 984 and two AT&T 965's would work good. They are four line telephones. The 984 has built in digital answering system. Message waiting light plus mailboxes. Then you would not have to pay telco for voice mail.

Thanks Telcolady, I'll look at the AT&T.

They want to get voice mails even when both lines are busy. That's the reason for getting voice mail through the telco.
