2 LIMs over 2 sites

I am debating whether we actually need to spend the extra cash for a group switch to link what is currently only 2 LIM's over two sites. Obviously the benefits are there should we decide to increase the amount of LIMs but if we do not then it is overkill?

Do the group switches provide any other tangible benefits? Do they make the system more stable/tolerent over a system link between remote sites ??

Any practical experience advice appreciated.

if you are thinking of expanding the MD110 over more than 2 sites than I would say yes, go with the GS, but only if you're sure you're going to expand.
