Hi ,

It backups everything but the backups starts and the
First it does is a calculate session that takes 2 hours before it starts backuping files .
The only error i can find in the log is
[MAPISIS WARNING] SortTable() failed on All PF hierarchy table.
It's a Database that is 50 gigabyte .
File estimate is disabled on the job.
No Mcafee or other on the server . ( no virus hehe :))

Anyone any ideas ?

thanx

not sure, but perhaps even with estimate disabled the databasee size is causing the delay.

Has service pack 1 been installed for ARCserve? It has a fix for the Exchange DB Agent. Also there is another fix for doc level backups. While we are at it, if this is a Windows 2003 server there is an update for W2K3 SP1 as well. Oh yes and there is a security fix for DB Agents.

HI,

What type of Exchange backup are u running?

So it Shall be Written!
So it Shall be Done!!

Hi ,

We are running arcserve 11.1 build 3100
Agents build 3100

We did'n't install windows 2003 service pack 1 . Because it always worked and now it doesn't.

I have 3 jobs

1 - novell job (100 gb) (3,5 hours)
2 - All other windows servers (50gb) other exchange server + mailboxes and other servers (1,5 hours)
3 - Exchange server public folders (50 gb for the database
and 50 gb for document level (this is for stuppid
users that throw things away :) )
(public folders) we use a program on the public
folders .few users scan all incoming letters for
the company and they are stored in the public folders
for archive. (7 hours!!)

You see arcserve start the job and then it does a calculate session that takes 2 hours before backuping the database and then it goes to document level that takes another 2 hours to calculate so in total it takes 4 hours to think and 3 hours to backup.
