Hi:

I am trying to install 2 graphics card on an IBM PC.
The existing one is a AGP graphics card and the one that i installed recently is a PCI GEForce 4 MX card.
After i plug in the PCI card, my drivers for the AGP had an exclamitation card and even when i plug in the monitor cable, it has no signal. Only my PCI card works
Any idea how to resolve this issue. Thanks

While wondering to myself what you'll accomplish IF you get it going (multiple monitors, I guess?) you might try setting the AGP as the primary display in the BIOS and enabling Palette snoop in the BIOS.
Sure your motherboard/BIOS will allow this?

Assuming that you are trying to get dual monitors working, here is some additional info-
-you need to be running win98 or higher to get this to work.
-you need to have a motherboard that won't freak out when more than one vid card is in at a time
-both video cards must support dual video cards.

You might check out the above before trying to juggle IRQs and other resources!!

BTW- remeber that your AGP card is going to be the primary display. This means that your programs will start on this monitor and have to be moved onto the other monitor (by a click and drag). As a result, you will find that some programs that run in full screen by default can not be used on the second monitor (most games, for instance).

Groucho said it best- "A four year-old child could understand this! Quick! Run out and find me a four year-old child: I can't make heads nor tails out of this!"

Another suggestion is get a video card that has dual outputs and supports multiple monitors on one card.

I had the same problem with a Win2000 system and a Geforce 4 AGP and a Geforce 2 PCI-The system would not see the PCI card until I changed the Bios to have the PCI as primary and it worked perfectly.
