I'm not sure if this can even be done or not, but we have diffrent forms for work orders and trouble tickets where I work, what they want is a report that will show both (status etc...) but I am unaware of how to do this, the only thing I know how to do is create one for work orders and one for trouble tickets, if anyone knows a way around this I would appreicat the help

Hi there,

The only way to do this is to create a new join form using these to forms and include all the fields you want to display in the report. This should solve the problem. I had tried couple of times to join the two forms directly while creating the report in crystal reports, but it gives oracle error.

Hope this is useful.

The Remedy Help Desk application does something like this by using a separate form that partial data about records is pushed to.

eg, the main forms are HPD:Helpdesk and CHG:Change. There is a third form called SHR:ConsolidatedList that contains a few of the fields from each of the main forms (ticket number, status, etc). Then, there are filters for the main forms that do a Push Fields to the SHR:ConsolidatedList form on submit and modify. This keeps a small subset of the data that exists in each main form in the shared form for reporting or display purposes.
