I have a Customer that did have 2 Flash v Mail on 1 8 X 24 KSU, They removed 1 of the V Mails off the system . Of course it was the one using the normal feature codes 98*
Now they want to make the V Mail that is left to use the 98* codes. Question is do I have to reset the V Mail and reprogram the the entire V Mail? Thanks!!

KDB

shutdown the voicemail
remove the feature codes using feat**xftest
then bootup the voicemail

then fresh default codes will get 'registered'

you prob should check all programmed buttons too after the vm is changed

ONLY 7 WEEKS TILL SKI SEASON STARTS

senk1s, do you mean shut down the voice mail (unplug) or do you mean disable the voice mail through f983, 4, change to no to disable?

KDB

the first is correct, AKA Hard Off.
Why can't you put the other one back?

I am not sure the VM will choose the new codes.
Feature 903 is usually done before config.
Make sure you have a hard copy of all mailboxes before you do it.

rhowlett, Wish I could. The system is in a US District Court house, at first the Court Clerks and Probation department shared the V Mail and KSU. Then Probation told the Judges to get their own Voice Mail, added 2nd Flash and programed it for the Clerks and Judges. Now Probation bought their own KSU and left the other Flash on the old KSU. The IT guy for the court house does not want to learn the other codes. So I guess I need to reset the Flash and program from Scratch, Correct?

Would be the path of least resistance for you anyway. They will have to do all the recordings again, but at least you will know it's programmed right!
