I have 2 exchange servers on seperate sites in the same Exchange Organization.
The recipients on the 2 servers have different e-mail addresses as we are 2 different companies.
I do not wish to route between the 2 servers, but want all mail to be routed externally to future-proof against the day when the inter-site VPN is no longer needed (as will surely happen).
Do I NEED to create Routing Group connectors or have the 2 servers in the same Routing Group to satisfy Exchange, or if I omit this configuration step altogether will everything be routed externally as I want it to be?
Exchange servers are 2000, running on W2K servers.
Any help is appreciated.
