Just had a customer ask if there is a way to have a day and night operator extension from AA be different? This is 2 MICS’s tied together with MCDN and Centralized voicemail. Everything works perfect except now they would like for the Day Time attendant to be ext: 111 in system A. Then when the Night Time Greeting plays they want ext: 222 in system B to be the Attendant when 0 is pushed. I know I could just forward 111 to the other extension but they want it to be Automatic. Has anyone ever done this?

This is weak, but I'm taking it needs to be automatic to heart. Leave the Site A operator as 0. I don't know how many paths you have, hopefully none. Build Path 1 to go to Site B operator. Then your night greeting just relates the change, "For an operator, plz press one.

Attendant is still just a single setting per table, and you can't set a different table for night mode.

The easiest way to do this is to f4 the 0 set to the night attendant, as you've already said.

If the customer is fixed on using 0 for the attendant, they'll have to press a button at night. (cfwd, 111)

Thanks for the input. I'll let them know their options, if I come up with anything else I'll let you know.

If anyone can come up with an original workaround, you can.

If you do, I'll post you a star, and some $$$$$.

I DID SOMETHING LIKE THIS SEVERAL YEARS AG. TRICKED SYSTEM USING AN ATA AS OPERATOR EXT AS CO LINE. SET AUTO NITE SCHEDULE TO RING LINE TO OTHER SET. GOOD LUCK!

FoneZone- You've gotta love analog. The only disadvantage is you'll lose CLID on that night set. Good option, though.
