Dear All,

we are having an issue to solve that is driving me crazy. We have a MX-One TSW with 1 LIM and 4 magazines, each magazine has his own TMU.

Our PBX is serving 2 companies, and we need to assign one different Music On Hold sources to each company.

Is it possible to move all the 2nd company users in their own magazine and then decide that users in this magazine have their own MOH, while the other 3 magazines are using another source?

I can't believe that such a powerful PBX cannot use two different sources :|

Thanks,
claudio

Hi, as far as i know there´s a facility called "Voice announcement for parked calls" in wich is possible to have several music on hold sources for different extensions. I have not seen it in action so maybe one of the other members of this forum can help us with it.

Regards,
Rod

you can achieve this with RACEI command, parameter CONT (251 = source1, 252 = source2)

Hi whosrdaddy, would we need VSU card or TMU is enough?

ok,

beware that in TSW the CONT parameter only accepts VSU sources for extensions (Groups can use TMU), so crivabene, you'll need a VSU board and yes this works for parked calls.

for newer systems (TSE) CONT also accepts TMU resources for extension.

Hello,
Thank you so much for your quick response!
I probably missed one bit from our configuration... some of the users are IP users. Can we use RACEI with IP terminals?
Thanks

Hello,

thank you so much for your quick response!

I think I may have missed one bit from our configuration... some of the users (actually, all the ones we need to set the different music on hold) are IP users.

Can we use RACEI with IP Extensions?

no not in TSW. only ATS, DTS or CXN extension.

So I guess that the only way to have two different music on hold sources is to completely separate the two groups in their own LIM, then?

yes, that would be wise (or separate the 2 systems all together)
