2 Column Report in SubReport Only? 1

I have a report that is a conglomeration of several smaller reports. Each of these reports has been placed in the Detail section as a subreport. Everything is working fine until I get to one of the reports that is set up as a two column report. When previewing it by itself it formats fine; however, in the "big" report it only does one column.

I understand that the two column formatting usually applies to the entire detail section. Is there some way around this? Can I apply the 2 column format to one subreport only?

Thanks in advance,

Quint - just noticed no one's answered yet.

I think Access is gonna barf if you try to print a 2-column SUBreport inside a 1-column REPORT's detail section.

Can you move it to another section? Or Append it somehow on another page?

I've never tried to do this, but it sounds like it would tie the report formatter engine up in knots, and it's already pretty dumb...

The other alternative, if you can't get Access to do what you want, is a more powerful Report writer like Crystal Reports or something...

I've never heard of Crystal Reports being used with Access... Didn't know the two were involved in any way (am I showing my newbie status? :)

I'll probably just reformat the other report as a 1-column report; it's not imperative that I have it formatted that way. Just figured I'd ask and see if anyone knew of a way around this.

Seems like you're the one answering most of my questions, huh? :) Thanks for responding to all of my posts; I definitely appreciate the suggestions and help.
