I have 2 6509's with dual MSFC's. Cisco HSRP sections describe a configuration called "Dual Chassis and Dual MSFC Peering" Each 6509 has two blades (10/100 Ether and Fiber 1 Gigabit).
Is this a good implementation or is there a better one?
Will it allow me to setup two fiber connections down to 3500XL's located in wiring closest; where 1 of the fiber connections will be active and the other on standby?
Can I do the same for servers with two ethernet cards one attached to Core Switch A on the 10/100 blade and one attached to Core Switch B on its 10/100 blade; where one of the Server cards is setup at the server as a fail-over configuration?
Can I do the same for our PIX firewalls that are configured with failover?
