I've been asked by a friend at Time-Warner to go look at a customer's 11c.
They sold him a NI2 PRI originating on an ATT 5-ESS with a feature they call '2 B-Channel Transfer'. The customer is supposed to be able to hook-flash to transfer a call back out the PRI, then hang up and both B-Channels will drop and the call will stay connected via the TWC switch. Of course the 11c intercepts the hook flash and it would have to be assigned to the transfer key on a digital set, the 11c and the 5ESS would have to properly negotiate the call transfer.
I've found a couple of posts pertaining to channel to channel transfers, and a couple of references to enabling tromboning, or maybe anti-tromboning. I've actually got quite the stack of info printed out on the matter, I just haven't touched the switch at the customer site yet.
In any case, to be as completely armed as possible (since I'm walking on site cold), I'd like to know if anyone has experience with this scenario. Do the 11c and the 5-ESS both support the ISDN features to make this work?
Thanks,
e.
