2 AD's together

My company bought another company. I need to have users from 1 AD to have access to things in the other AD. I've set up a 2-way trust however i cant manage to add users from AD 1 into any groups in AD 2. Anyone have any ideas?

Users from foriegn domains can only be placed in "Domain Local Groups". You will not be able to add them to Global Groups.
