Hi
I have a PIX 515 with 6 interfaces & have a public ip address on the outside interface eg 55.66.33.5
can I make the following :
nat (intf2) 1 0 0
global (outside) 1 55.66.32.4
where is 55.66.32.4 is from a different subnet than the outside interface ip address ???
tks

HI.

The ip address used by NAT/PAT and also STATIC, must be a registered address that is routed by your ISP to the pix, and should not be the network nor broadcast address of any subnet. So, if the ISP routers are configured to route 55.66.32.4 via the pix interface 55.66.33.5, then it should work.
Otherwise, you won't get the return traffic.

Bye
