i get this alarm from time to time on a bcm50R6
2.9970 : Power Vccp Failed
Proposed solution
Verify that external power is per operational limits. If alarm persists, contact your local support group.

is this a failing power supply? any similar experience?

I have never seen this error before and it's probably either the BCM power transformer adapter or the local electricity supply.

It might be worth making sure that all the connectors are secure and not loose as I tend to find that the BCM 50 unit area is where the connection can become loose as I've killed a few BCM's whilst trying to move a cable in a tight rack only to find that I've pulled the cable out by mistake.
