I have played with 2.1 extensivly and it seems to be very stable and very few if any Bugs with build 2.1(14)

The merge feature works very well and the remote upgrade but there is a issue with SOE and Memory card. Shame you cannot upgrade version 2.0 sites with this feature, only supported on sites that have 2.1 :(

For those who are intrested here are some features that are coming in 2.1

IP Office VoIP
Multi Vendor VoIP
User/Huntroup Merge
Remote Upgrade Wizard
Digital card Restriction lifted on IP403
PIN Restricted dialling
Email reading TTS
New Config Wizards
IP Paging
VPN Connectivity
Fax over IP
2.1 VMPro
VMPro Call Data Tagging
VMPro VB Scripting
Mailbox Fax detection
VMail Networked Messaging (VPIM)
CBC enhacments

My Soe hre at home seems to be stable.

Avaya have even made improvements on the implementation of the Lan2 DHCP client (for connection to cable broadband systems etc.)
it will now renew its IP lease as required but cannot cope with an IP Address change without a reboot.

But when is it due for release?

bazlit,

GA is set on 24th May 2004.

Is anybody else finding with build 2.1(14) the licenses become invaild after 2 hours ?? Reboot and all ok for another 2 hours.

Our our test switch and office switch we have about 20 Licenses all come up invalid after 2 hours :(

I dont recall seeing this problem on my SOE
Have you downloaded build 15 yet & does it cure the problem?

where can i find the GA 2.1, on the support web site? as its d-day (24/5)

Yeah right, & when was the last time you saw Avaya software go live on the planned date.

Personaly I would be worried if it did, that could suggest that it had been rushed just to meet the deadline

It's not like we can get to the support site to download it anyway...

From previous experience don't hold your breath on downloading it, order the CD's from your distributor who should already have them. It's not like they're gonna cost you much.

As I recall the delay on getting R2.0 on the website for download was about 6 weeks after GA. sigh.

I talked with Vodaone today (25th) - I was told 2.1 will be posted Monday (Memorial Day) of all days...I will believe it when I see it.

New GA release date is quoted as 31/05/04 but as this is a UK bank holiday & IPO developement takes place in Welwyn Garden City - UK I would not hold your breath
although the release notes for 2.1(15) did not seem to list too many bugs so who knows?)

Just read the release not for 2.1 VMP is still not supported on Server 2003 at release :(

This was one of big things to come in 2.1 ??

Just got another update on the release date from avaya 16/6/4 :(

Where can I get the release note from?

I would post it but its 56 Pages inc Images. I would contact your local AVAYA rep who may have a copy that he can email you directly

Hope this helps

Received call from VodaOne indicating my order for 2.1 CD's (User, Admin, VM, ETK) shipping last Friday.

Good news for resellers out there at least.

Has anybody else got confirmation of the availability of the Ip Office V2.1 disks?
Just contacted Crane this morning and they havn't got the disks yet and they claim that Tier 3 @ Avaya were also still waiting for them.

Befor I install 2.1(15) on a site, I see from the notes that there is a fault with the overflow settings on a huntgeoup. It seems as though it will only goto one of the overflow destinations and then return to the original group, ignoring other specified overflows.

Can anuyone verify this.

Thanks
RW
