Hey all,

Looks like a new bug in 2.1.27, I'm afraid the Call Listen (monitor) feature doesn't work. It's been my experience that you get a dialtone when dialing the shortcode - worked fine with 2.1.24.

I've experienced the problem with 44xx sets, and heard one other report of someone getting this with 2420's. Can anyone confirm this on DT phones?

Also it would be good to know if this is a problem on R3 for those of you beta testing....

Thanks,

Peter

We have a largis call center using call monitor on 20XX phones which has recently been upgraded to V2.1(2) so I hope this is not a new bug.

I will keep an eye open in the next few days

Just had a request for call listen and as Morrack has said, it doesn't work - well kind of anyway!! System is all 6408s at the moment (they ordered 5410s way back in September when V3 was meant to be out by Decemeber - they are NOT happy!!)

Setup a shortcode as the documentation says (just to make sure I wasn't doing anything wrong) -

*99*N#
N
CallListen

Get to the last bit by pressing #, and pressing the hash at the end just gives me dialtone again! All other short codes with "#" at the end work ok. VERY weird thing is on the display, instead of a # appearing each time it is pressed, a "£" appears instead! Never seen that before....

but what I did work out in the end was if you press
*99*[extn]# and when the next dialtone comes on, press # again, the call listen works!

very odd - just to let people know!

Cheers.

Be carefull, I had a call centre that stumbled on a workaround to make call listen work (I'm not positive exactly how he did it) - their 412 kept rebooting during the day, and we tracked it down to the call listen feature. It didn't happen every single time, but every time the system rebooted the CCM had just dialed his call listen hack.
