1st page of Acrobat doc grayed out

I have a user who is on Acrobat Reader 7.0. When she opens a document with several pages, the first page is completly grayed out. She can move to the next page and then back to the first page and the first page then displays properly.

I've already uninstalled/reinstalled. Is there a setting I can check or any other recommendation? I cannot upgrade to Acrobat 8 at this time. Thanks for help!
