Hi,

I posted a question in this forum a couple of weeks ago and was referred to 1st Page 2000 as a good website building site to help me learn more html. It's a free download, which is good, but when I started downloading I got a worm warning from my Norton. Norton quarantined the file, but now I'm wondering if it's safe to use the program. I sent and email to the company a couple of days ago, but got no response.

Has anybody else had this problem or any advice to offer?

Thanks,
Kundrol

Possibly what's known as a "false positive" where a section of code in the archive/.exe file has similar characteristics to virus activity. In the setup file are various javascripts so these may be triggering the Norton warning if it is set in "paranoia" mode.

I've just scanned the file with 2 different scanners (Avast and McAfee) and it came out clean.

So long, and thanks for all the fish.

Thanks Chris. So I'll go ahead and use it. Looks like a very useful program. I've now moved up to #1 on Google under handspun hats! At least as of yesterday...
