For those of you who don't read Ajaxian, I'll repost here.

Peter van der Zee has started a competition where you have to do something cool (could be anything - a game, demo, utility, etc) - using no more than 1kB of JavaScript.

The 1kB limit includes whitespace, etc, and you are not allowed to use any external libraries whatsoever.

There are some good entries so far, and I'm not far from submitting mine (it started life at 10kB, although I must admit, trying to get it down past the 2kB mark is proving tricky). Entries must be submitted by 10th September.

You can read more here:
The competition page is here:

What does this mean?

Must work on current fx, sa, ch and o. (Let’s level the playing field)

The competition entries page doesn't work for me just errors with
Object doesn't support this property or method!

Are you using one of the supported browsers mentioned above, or are you using IE which doesn't really support the canvas object, and is therefore not supported by the competition?

I finally got my code down to less than 1kB - just. It was 1012 bytes, although I thought that increasing it to 1020 bytes with a few line breaks aided the readability of the code (!). I've posted it on my page here as well.

I don't think i'll enter the competition, I'm no-where near good enough to compete with some of the current entries.

Thanks Dan.

I have the same problem with TT UK Forum, I did request include again, but never got an answer, so gave up :-(

Cool beans, all working now, thanks for the nudge Dan.

Good luck with the competition.
