I feel like I'm missing something simple, but I CANNOT find a way to break out of the management console to the CLI on the Cisco 1924 switch I just bought. I have read all kinds of stuff and from what I gather, there is supposed to be a "User Interface" option on the main menu and then (K) takes you to the command line. It's not there. In addition, there is supposed to be a preliminary menu with an (M) to go to the menus (maybe the U is there as well?) but I never see it. The switch boots straight to the management console, and there it stays. Hit x to exit management console, and you go back to "hit any key to start". Hit any key to start, and you go to the management console. What am I missing? Thanks

Hi,
Your 1900 would have to be a "EN" enterprise unit to have a CLI. It should say "19XX EN" some were on the switch.
Thanks,

Can this be upgraded? Is it simply a matter of obtaining the Enterprise version of the OS? Thanks!

Hello,
No upgrade that I know of, I think the only thing you can do is get a 19XX en.
Thanks,
