I've got an old Prolient 1850R running NT4 and one of
the drives failed(RAID1-mirror). I swapped out the drive
and now I need to reset everything back to mirroring.

Using the NT4 Disk Admin tool, I was able to break the
mirror on the one remaining good drive.
However, re-establishing the mirror using Disk Admin did
not work.

I think this may need to be done at the hardware level,
before the OS loads. Are there any old-timers out there
that remember how go about this?

Thanks!

you didnt need to do anything
just swap the drive - assuming it's a proper raid 1 ie controlled by hardware but if you could break mirror then sounds like it's software

run the acu from compaq tools
verify hardware
