1710 VPN router connection to a Watchguard firewall - config problems

I have a 1710 VPN router which is used to connect via VPN to a number of sites. These sites have a mixture of Cisco routers, concentrators and PIX Firewalls. I have no problem setting up a 3DES VPN Tunnel to these sites. I now need to connect to a site that has a Watchguard Firebox. This can only use Diffie Helman group 1 (apparently). I have tried to connect to this via my 1710 and it fails. Even though I have set up a profile to use group 1 (on the 1710) it still seems to use group 2. I have not spoken to anyone who has managed to connect a Cisco 1710 to a Watchguard Firebox.
Is it possible?
If so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
