16xx series ip phones unable to get into craft menu

Anyone else have trouble getting into the craft menu of a 1608 or 1616 when the phone is idle. I can only get in when I reboot the phone and press * to program.

mute c r a f t # won't work on a 1616. if you want to change settings use mute a d d r #. or mute c l e a r #, or mute r e s e t #, etc.

also, by default, 1616 sets have no password, so when accessing these menus yuo don't need mute c r a f t #. if asked for a password try hitting just # and see what happens.
