16xx message button light on and Chinese character problem

hi.there is an s8730 with 5.1.1 cm and 1608,1616(1.3 ver)

is there any possibility to have the message button on 1608,1616 phones to turn on(light on) when i have a new message? a client said that it was working and now it is not. i can not check it so i need your help.

an other think is that he complains that some times the phones just stack and he have to unplug the cable in order to make them work again.when that happens, the display shows up Chinese things...

Check the Avaya Support pages for pcn's (Product Correction Notice's) I believe there is one about "garbage on the screen" and the is a link to a patch to fix it.
