Hello,

I have around ~60 1608 phones and 1 of them keeps rebooting.
The floor that 1608 is on has about 30 phones and that is the only phone that reboots. That floors phones all go to the same POE switch. VLAN for voice.

IPO 7.0.12

For that extension using IPPhone Status
6 Registrations
ErrorURQ: 5
URQReason: keepalive

The rest of the URQReason's are slowURQ.

We have changed ports on the switch, changed phones but that extension keeps rebooting at random occasions.

I am now running a monitor and when the phone reboots I am hoping to filter out the log message.

Any thoughts? Ideas? Even something else I should be verifying.

This extension is not an agent and the user does not hotdesk, he has the same configuration as the office workers.

Try to delete that user/extension in the Manager. Then add it again. My guess this only happens when you have the SSA (system status) open and do a change/merge with the Manager tool, at that time the phone reboots with an URQ error. Seen it once in a while.

Tried deleting the user but not the extension.

Even deleting the user it happens.
His phone would reboot even if I wasnt making changes in manager or looking at system status.

I will try deleting the extension but that requires an IPO reboot, gonna have to do it in the middle of the night.

Try changing the handset, seen plenty of dodgy 1608's as they are cheaply made :)

We did change phones, I mentioned it in the original post. I just find it odd that is all.

Running a constant monitor on my PC hoping that when it reboots, the user tells me a time and I can back track it, not sure what I will be seeing though.

Sounds like duplicate user or extension number.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

DHCP assigned, no duplicate extension or user.

Would running monitor be beneficial to catching this issue, it just happened again this morning.

I will try tonight to delete the user again and this time also delete the extension and re-create it and see what happens.

try to upgrade to the last r7 version

i had the same problem but with R6
