1608-l no ethernet, procpswd 1

Hi
Got some new 1608-l phones to add our exsiting avay system. I came across a setup that I've seen before since all previous phone I worked with boot up right off the bat.

The new phones gives an no ethernet error and also ask for procpswd. All current phones are connected directly to the pbx so I never came across this setup. I'm using ip office 9. I tried to connect to a working port and still shows up as no ethernet so I'm thinking it has something to do with the phone itself.

Any advice?

1608 is an IP phone... it is not plug and play like a digital phone.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.
