Hi all,
Having a problem getting 3x1608 phones working on DATA LAN
Details are
IP500v2 11.0.4
LAN 1 - 192.168.42.1
DFG - 192.168.42.254 (Fortinet)
DATA LAN
192.168.100.x
DFG 192.168.100.254 (Different interface on Fortinet)
Routing between the subnets if fine can access system via manager etc from the DATA LAN, have requested the following on the Fortinet - SIP ALG, H323 inspection, H323 helper, AV, Web Filter, Application control, RAS helpers and IPS is all off between the 2 networks - been advised complete
1608 phones on 192.168.42.x subnet all working ok and J129 phones on DATA LAN work fine the issue I have is that when I plug the 3 1608 phones in DATA LAN 1 will come up and look correct and the other 2 do not have the correct display (no date time) and none have audio, if unplug them and plug them back in the extension number move between phones and a few times 2 of the phones would display the same extension number??? (not hot desking, extension numbers assigned to the phones) put the phones in the 192.168.42.x subnet and all 3 work ok.
DHCP server in 192.168.42.x subent - IP Office
DHCP server in 192.168.100..x subnet - Fortinet Option 242 (J129) Option 243 (1608) but have the same issue when setting the 1608 phones statically.
What I have noticed and sure linked is that when I connect using monitor and view SIP status all the phones show an IP address of 192.168.42.254 the gateway on the phone subnet - when I watch monitor I can see the phones register and use the correct IP in the 192.168.100. x subnet but these are not displayed in the SIP ext status or displayed when I look at system status tool.
Pretty sure issue is with the Fortinet but has anyone come across anything similar and or could advised on what to request the Fortinet to have disable or enable to get the phones to work.
Thanks in advance and getting to the bottom of this post!!
LAN 2 of the IP office is already in use so unfortunately I can’t put this into the 192.168.100.x subnet to resolve the issue and as yet not tried it as a tested (suspect it would work thou)
